First Tee — Greater Philadelphia Academic Scholarship - First Tee

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open on February 1st and close on March 31st.

The First Tee — Greater Philadelphia Academic Scholarship Endowment was started by First Tee — Greater Philadelphia as a way to provide our chapter’s active participants with ﬁnancial assistance for high school. The Scholarship Committee is pleased to offer scholarship assistance to qualiﬁed First Tee — Greater Philadelphia participants who have demonstrated exceptional merit, citizenship, academic achievement, as well as service and commitment to the mission of First Tee — Greater Philadelphia. An up-to $5,000 scholarship, renewable each academic year, is available based on selection criteria for at least one (1) student per year depending on the size of the endowment. Students who meet the EITC income eligibility can receive more than $5,000. Scholarship awardees may seek renewal in successive years by meeting the stated requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees must be in 8^th Grade or higher looking for High School options
Must be 13 years older or above
Nominees must have been with First Tee for a minimum of two (2) years and be marked active in the participant database

Selection Criteria

The level of participation in First Tee — Greater Philadelphia programs (2 multi-week sessions registered for and attended)
Financial need
Academic strength

Scholarship Award and Renewal Criteria

Up to $5,000 per academic year, renewable scholarship, based on selection criteria

At the end of the academic year, renewable applicants must submit transcripts from the previous year and proof of enrollment for the coming year
Scholarship is good for high school tuition or school related expenses
Scholarship will be paid directly to the high school and the funds will be accounted for in partnership with the high school
The family receiving the scholarship must provide the financial aid letter from the school ensuring complete transparency. First Tee — Greater Philadelphia may make a decision on the exact amount to send to the school on behalf of the family.

Good academic standing as determined by the school and the committee
Proof of enrollment in First Tee — Greater Philadelphia for at least 2 years and active in the participant database (2 sessions registered for and attended)
